On a pad this size there is nowhere for a busy design to hide. Most of them answer that by printing nothing at all.

This one answers it with depth instead: lit contour ridges running across a charcoal ground, so the whole footprint is doing something even though the palette never goes past teal. It is the same artwork as the desk mat and the print, scaled and re-composed for the footprint it is printed at rather than squashed down to fit.
