Logitech G305 Lightspeed — Budget Wireless Gaming Mouse
Price on Amazon
There is no better value in PC gaming than this mouse, and it has held that title for years against far more expensive competition.
Best for: Anyone on a budget, anyone building a second setup, and students. Also the smartest first upgrade from a bundled office mouse.
Skip it if: Players who need very low weight or many side buttons. It runs on an AA battery, which is convenient but adds grams.

What actually matters
- Proper wireless — the same low-latency tech as mice costing four times more.
- Excellent sensor that punches far above the price.
- Huge battery life on a single AA — weeks, not hours.
- Durable — these things famously refuse to die.
The verdict
The default recommendation for anyone asking 'what's a good cheap gaming mouse', and it will be again next year.
